Joining the Society

Who can become a member of Navayuga Credit Souharda Co-operative Society?

Any individual residing or working in and around Mangaluru can apply for membership. You need to open a Members Savings Account at our Pumpwell branch with valid identity and address proof.

What documents are required to become a member?

You typically need: a photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID or Passport), address proof, two passport-size photographs, and the membership application form available at the branch.

Is there a membership fee?

A nominal share capital contribution is required at the time of joining. Please visit the branch or call 0824-4633362 for the current amount.

Can organisations, trusts or religious institutions become members?

Yes — registered institutions including churches, temples, mosques, charitable trusts and other organisations are eligible for membership. They may also qualify for additional interest benefits on select deposit products.

Fixed & Recurring Deposits

What is the highest fixed deposit rate offered?

Our highest FD rate is 11% for the 999-day tenure. Other attractive rates include 10.50% for 777 days, 10.25% for 555 days and 10% for 366 days to below 3 years.

Do senior citizens get a higher rate?

Yes. Senior citizens receive 10.5% on 366-day deposits at maturity. Additionally, reserve categories — widows, physically challenged, ex-servicemen, religious institutions and charitable trusts — receive an extra 0.5% (essential documents must be submitted).

What is the Navayuga Cash Certificate?

The Navayuga Cash Certificate is a special investment plan where your money doubles in 90 months. It’s a long-term growth option for patient savers.

What is the Monthly Income Scheme?

The Monthly Income Scheme (MIS) is a 3-year fixed deposit at 10% that pays you interest every month. For example, a deposit of ₹1,20,000 yields ₹1,000 per month. It’s ideal for retirees or anyone who wants regular cash flow.

What recurring deposit plans are available?

We offer four standard plans — Recurring Deposit (RD), Lakhpathi Scheme (LKS), Navayuga Kalyan Scheme (NKS) and the Child Education Plan (CEP). For women, we also have the Mahila Samridhi Yojana (MSY) and Mahila Ujjwala Yojana (MUY). All RD plans carry 10% interest.

Can I open an RD for my child’s education?

Absolutely. The Child Education Plan (CEP) requires ₹1,500 per month for 144 months and matures to ₹4,15,664 — a disciplined way to build a college fund.

What types of loans do you offer?

We offer four loan products: Personal Loan, Business Loan, Vehicle Loan and Gold Loan. Each is designed for a specific purpose with competitive terms.

Do I need to be a member to get a loan?

Yes — all loan facilities are exclusively for society members. You can open a Members Savings Account and apply for a loan at the same visit to the branch.

How quickly can I get a gold loan?

Gold loans are among the fastest to process. Once your gold is appraised and the paperwork is complete, disbursal can happen very quickly — often the same day. Visit the branch with your gold ornaments and ID proof.

What security is required for a personal or business loan?

Security requirements vary by loan amount and type. Typically, personal and business loans require guarantors and/or existing deposits as collateral. Our branch staff will explain the specific requirements for your case.

Banking & Insurance

Can I do NEFT/RTGS transfers at the branch?

Yes. We facilitate RTGS and NEFT fund transfers to any bank account across India. Visit the branch with the beneficiary’s bank details (account number, IFSC, name) and we’ll process it for you.

What insurance services do you offer?

We facilitate Vehicle Insurance, Health Insurance, General Insurance, Accidental Insurance and new LIC policies. Our staff will help you compare plans and complete the application.

What is a Pigmy Account?

A Pigmy Account is a daily-collection savings scheme. Our agent visits your home or shop to collect small deposits each day, making it effortless to save without visiting the branch. It’s especially popular among shopkeepers, vendors and daily-wage earners.

Can I apply for a PAN card through the society?

Yes. We assist members with new PAN card applications and corrections. Bring the required documents to the branch and our team will guide you through the process.
